Can reading a book really change your life?

We have heard people mentioning list of books that they say change their life, perspective, habits, and even made them successful. Haven’t we? 

Whether it’s many YouTube channels claiming so, or blogs or even successful people claiming how they couldn’t make it until they read those specific book that  somehow changed their whole life and made them succeed. 

But is that true? Is that even possible? I used to wonder how can just reading a book change my life. Isn’t me who needs to take actions to make it better, reach my goals and get me success that I want? 

Then I started reading books that piqued my interests and over time I start to understand their impact. 

Of course the answer to my question was yes, I am the one who needs to take actions to control my life and direct it in the way I want but knowing what actions should I take and understanding many factors that help me to take those actions isn’t so easy otherwise I would have been successful already. 

So how does reading books helped me? Does it actually have power to change anybody’s life? Well here’s what I have learned : 

When you read fictional books your mindset and thinking can be impacted in the following ways –
